Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare Announces Temporary Closure; The management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare has announced the immediate temporary closure of the institution following a directive from the Bauchi State Government.

According to an official circular signed by the Registrar, Abdullahi Babbaji (DPA, BA. Ed, PGD), the state government has ordered the shutdown of all schools across Bauchi State—including primary, secondary, tertiary, federal, and private institutions—due to prevailing security concerns.

Closure Details

  • The College will remain closed until further instructions are issued by the government.
  • The Provost has emphasized full compliance with the directive, urging staff and students to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

Essential Staff Exempted

Certain staff members involved in essential services are exempted from the closure and are required to continue reporting to duty. These include:

  • Security personnel
  • Gardeners
  • Borehole operators
  • Animal herders
  • Clinic staff

Resumption

The resumption date will be communicated by the government in due course.

The management calls for the cooperation of all staff and students to ensure safety and compliance during this period.
