UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme 2026/2027 Admission Form; The University of Uyo has invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for its one-year Basic Studies Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, conducted in collaboration with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB).

The programme is designed to prepare students for admission into 200 level through Direct Entry after successful completion of the JUPEB examination and fulfillment of all departmental requirements.

Candidates who pass the JUPEB examination but do not meet requirements for their chosen course may be considered for other available programmes.


What is the UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme?

The University of Uyo Basic Studies Programme is a one-year academic programme that prepares candidates for JUPEB examinations.

Successful candidates will gain admission into 200 level in the University of Uyo or other Nigerian universities through Direct Entry, provided they meet the required course conditions.

👉 JAMB UTME score is NOT required.

Candidates for the 2026 UTME session are also eligible to apply.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • At least five (5) O’Level credit passes
  • Must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Three other relevant subjects depending on course
  • Results from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE O’Level
  • Not more than two sittings

Screening Method

  • Admission is through Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Candidates must register and attend the screening exercise

Application Fee

  • ₦15,500 (non-refundable)

Payment is made via Remita through the university portal.


How to Apply for UNIUYO JUPEB

  1. Visit the UNIUYO admissions portal
  2. Create an account (new users)
  3. Verify email address
  4. Log in and generate Remita RRR
  5. Pay the application fee
  6. Complete the application form
  7. Upload required documents
  8. Print screening slip

Important Instructions

  • Same passport photograph must be used throughout the process
  • Wrong biodata will lead to disqualification
  • No correction after submission
  • Candidates may apply with results from up to two sittings
  • No supplementary application will be released

Registration and Screening Dates

  • Registration closes: 30 September 2026
  • Mock test: 25 September 2026
  • Main CBT: 27 October – 7 November 2026
