NWU Post-UTME/DE Form 2026/2027. Northwest University, Kano (NWU) has opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The online registration will run from 10 August to 23 August 2026. Candidates must have selected Northwest University as their first-choice institution and meet the UTME score required for their chosen programme.
The screening fee is ₦2,000, while the published UTME requirements range from 150 to 240, depending on the programme.

How to Apply for NWU Post-UTME 2026/2027
Candidates who meet the requirements can register through the university’s admission portal.
1. Visit the NWU admission portal
Go to the Northwest University website and select the 2026 Admission Portal.
The portal will take you to the screening registration page.
2. Generate your payment invoice
Generate the required NABROLL payment invoice through the admission portal.
The invoice can be used to make payment online or through an approved bank.
3. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee
Pay the ₦2,000 screening charge using the payment method provided by the university.

4. Complete the screening form
Return to the admission portal after payment and complete the online screening form.
Enter your personal, JAMB and academic information carefully. Your details should correspond with the information on your original credentials.
5. Review and submit
Before submitting the application, check your information carefully, particularly your:
- JAMB registration number
- UTME score
- O’Level grades
- Programme
- Personal details
6. Print your acknowledgement slip
Print the acknowledgement slip after successfully completing the registration.
Candidates should keep the slip safely because it may be required during subsequent screening or aptitude-test activities.

Which NWU courses have the highest cut-off marks?
The most competitive programmes in the published list require the following scores:
- Medicine and Surgery — 240
- Law — 230
- Medical Laboratory Science — 210

- Business Administration, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Physiotherapy and International Studies — 190
Candidates applying for these programmes should pay particular attention to the stated UTME requirements before beginning their screening registration.
Who Can Apply for NWU Post-UTME?
UTME candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Northwest University must have been selected as their first-choice institution.
- They must have obtained at least five relevant SSCE credits or equivalent qualifications.
- The required O’Level subjects must include English Language and Mathematics, where applicable to the programme.
- The required credits must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.
- The candidate must meet the UTME score specified for the chosen programme.
Candidates should also ensure that their academic credentials have been properly uploaded to JAMB where required.
NWU Direct Entry Requirements
Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to participate in the screening exercise if they meet the university’s requirements.
Applicants must have their 2026 JAMB Direct Entry registration slip and possess an acceptable qualification, such as:
- National Diploma (ND)
- IJMB
- NCE
The published minimum requirements include:

Direct Entry applicants must also satisfy the relevant O’Level requirements, including the required five credits obtained in not more than two sittings.
Important: Check Your O’Level Information Before Submitting
Candidates should be particularly careful when entering their SSCE grades.
The grades entered on the NWU screening form should correspond exactly with the candidate’s original result. Incorrect or inconsistent information can create problems during the admission verification process.
Candidates should also make sure that their required credentials have been uploaded to their JAMB profile.
