Nigerian Law School 2026 Bar Part I Application for Nigerian Law Graduates; Nigerian Law School has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026 Bar Part I Course. According to the official schedule, interested applicants can begin the admission process from Monday, 25 May 2026.
The application portal will remain open until Tuesday, 30 June 2026, while lectures for the programme are scheduled to begin on Monday, 27 July 2026, at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
Prospective candidates are advised to follow all deadlines strictly, as the School has stated clearly that late submissions or incomplete documents will not be accepted.
Nigerian Law School Bar Part I Admission Requirements
The Bar Part I Course is strictly meant for Nigerian graduates of Law from Common Law countries whose law programmes have been approved by the Council of Legal Education.
The Nigerian Law School also clarified that degrees obtained through the following study modes will not be recognised for admission into the programme:
- Part-time study
- Open University programmes
- Long Distance Learning
- Online study modes
Applicants with qualifications obtained through any of these methods are not eligible for admission into the Bar Part I Course.
How to Apply for Nigerian Law School Bar Part I
Interested applicants are required to visit the Nigerian Law School website and complete the application form.
After filling the form, applicants must send the completed application to:

The completed application form must be submitted on or before Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
In addition, applicants must ensure that their academic transcript alongside completed Forms B, B1 and B2 are forwarded from the official email addresses of their university and employer, where applicable.

All supporting documents must reach the School on or before Friday, 17 July 2026.
Important Email Subject Rule
The Nigerian Law School directed that every email sent during the application process must carry the applicant’s full name and application number as the email subject.
According to the School, this is necessary to help officials match submitted documents with the correct application records.
Applicants are also advised to keep their application numbers safe after submission, as the numbers will be required later to check admission status.
Deadline for Submission of Documents
The Nigerian Law School emphasized that all required application documents must be submitted within the approved timeline.
Applicants are encouraged to avoid waiting until the final days before submission, as delays may lead to avoidable issues that could affect the application process.
The School stated clearly that late applications and delayed supporting documents will not be entertained.
