Background and Approval Process

  • A team of experts conducted a review of MOUAU’s academic staff and learning facilities.
  • Their findings confirmed that the university met all necessary standards.
  • Following the review, the NUC Executive Secretary granted final approval.
  • The approval letter was issued by Abubakar M. Girei, Acting Director of Academic Planning.

Why Were These Courses Previously Removed?

  • In 2016, the Federal Government directed MOUAU to discontinue non-agriculture-related programmes.
  • As a result, these five management courses were removed.
  • However, the university later argued that these programmes support agriculture by helping farmers manage finances, markets, and business planning.

What Happens Next?

  • The reinstated courses will be open for admission starting in the 2024/2025 session.
  • Prospective students can now apply for these programmes.

This marks a significant step in expanding academic opportunities at MOUAU while maintaining its agricultural focus.
