UCH Ibadan School of Perioperative Nursing Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session; The School of Perioperative Nursing, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its 2026/2027 academic session.

Qualified registered nurses are invited to apply for the one-year Perioperative Nursing Programme, a full-time residential course designed to prepare nursing professionals for certification as Registered Perioperative Nurses.

To be eligible, applicants must possess a valid professional licence, meet the required O’Level qualifications and have at least one year of post-qualification experience as General Nurses.

UCH Perioperative Nursing Programme

The School of Perioperative Nursing is offering a specialist Perioperative Nursing Programme with the following structure:

  • Duration: One year
  • Study Mode: Full-time
  • Accommodation: Residential
  • Award: Registered Perioperative Nurse Certification

The programme is intended for qualified nurses who wish to specialise in perioperative nursing practice.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants must satisfy the professional, academic and work experience requirements specified by the school.

Professional Registration Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Be a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Hold a current practising licence issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Ensure the practising licence is valid at the time of application.

O’Level Requirements

Applicants must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate, GCE O’Level, or an equivalent qualification.

Accepted examination bodies include:

  • WASSCE
  • NECO
  • SSCE
  • GCE O’Level
  • Other recognised equivalent qualifications

Applicants must have at least five credit passes.

Compulsory Subjects

The required credit passes must include:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings from the same examination body.

For example, applicants using WASSCE may combine two WASSCE sittings if all required subjects are covered. However, results from different examination bodies cannot be combined under the stated requirement.

Required Work Experience

Applicants must have at least one year of post-qualification experience working as a General Nurse.

The required experience begins after the applicant has qualified as a Registered Nurse.

Employer’s Approval

Applicants are required to obtain official approval for one full year of release from their employer or another training institution.

The approval must cover the entire duration of the one-year residential programme.

How to Apply for UCH Perioperative Nursing Admission

Applications are completed online through the UCH Schools Application Portal.

Applicants should follow the steps below.

Step 1: Pay the ₦25,000 Application Fee

Visit the UCH Schools Application Portal and click the REMITA PAYMENT button.

Pay the application fee of ₦25,000 through the portal.

Step 2: Create an Account

After successful payment, create an account on the application portal.

You will need:

  • Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
  • Email address
  • Password used during payment

Ensure all payment details are entered correctly so that your payment can be linked to your application.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

Log in using your registered email address and password.

Complete all sections of the online application form before submitting it.

Step 4: Download the Applicant’s User Guide

Download the official Applicant’s User Guide from the portal homepage.

The guide provides detailed instructions for completing the online application correctly.

Step 5: Print the Application Form and Photocard

After successfully submitting the application, print:

  • Two copies of the completed application form
  • Two copies of the Photocard

These documents must be presented at the entrance examination venue.

Additional Required Payment

Applicants must also pay a separate ₦200 to the Oyo State Nursing and Midwifery Committee account.

Payment details are:

  • Amount: ₦200

This payment is separate from the ₦25,000 application fee.

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

The examination date and venue will be communicated directly to successful applicants.

Documents Required for the Entrance Examination

Applicants must bring the following documents to the examination venue:

  • Two copies of the Photocard
