UNIZIK Supplementary Programme Selection Rules

Candidates should not assume that every programme on the general list will be available to them.

The applicant portal will display the programmes for which each candidate is eligible. Applicants should use those options when making their selections.

The supplementary admission rules allow candidates to:

  • Select up to three programmes.
  • Choose only programmes for which they are shown as eligible.
  • Select no more than one professional course among their choices.

Candidates should carefully review the available options before confirming their selections because the programmes displayed on their individual dashboard determine the choices they can make.

JAMB CAPS Requirements for UNIZIK Supplementary Admission

Selecting a supplementary programme on the UNIZIK portal is not the end of the admission process.

Candidates who complete the programme-selection process should continue checking their JAMB CAPS transfer approval section.

If JAMB posts a transfer to the newly selected programme, the candidate should accept the transfer promptly.

Candidates must also ensure that their O’level results are properly uploaded to JAMB CAPS, as this is required for admission processing.

Applicants who have not uploaded their O’level results should complete the process before expecting their admission to be processed.

How to Apply for UNIZIK Supplementary Admission 2026/2027

Applications are completed through the UNIZIK applicant portal.

Step 1: Log in to the applicant portal

Sign in to your existing UNIZIK applicant profile.

Candidates who already purchased the Post UTME form should proceed to the Supplementary Admission card on their dashboard.

Candidates who have not purchased the Post UTME form are required to first add their O’level results and purchase the Post UTME form before proceeding.

Step 2: Open Available Programmes

After accessing the supplementary admission section, open Available Programme.

The portal will display the programmes for which you are eligible.

Step 3: Select your programmes

Select Add beside your preferred programmes.

You can add up to three programmes, but only one selected programme can be a professional course.

Step 4: Continue with the application

After selecting your preferred programmes, click Continue.

Review the total displayed by the portal and proceed to confirm your reservation.

Applicants should carefully review their selections before making payment.

Step 5: Confirm your payment and selections

After payment, the programmes you selected will appear under My Programs on the applicant dashboard.

This allows you to confirm that your supplementary programme selections have been recorded.

Step 6: Monitor JAMB CAPS

After completing the supplementary programme selection and payment, continue checking your JAMB CAPS account, particularly the Transfer Approval section.

If a transfer offer to the newly selected programme is posted, accept it promptly.

UNIZIK Supplementary Admission Closing Date

The supplementary admission exercise opened on 16 September 2026 and is scheduled to close on 27 September 2026.

Candidates who are eligible and intend to participate should complete the process before the stated closing date.

Because the exercise is time-limited, applicants should not wait until the final day to begin programme selection or resolve issues with their applicant profile, O’level result or payment.

What Happens After Selecting a Supplementary Programme?

Candidates who successfully complete the supplementary selection should continue monitoring both their UNIZIK applicant profile and JAMB CAPS.

The next important steps include:

  1. Confirm that the selected programme appears under My Programs.
  2. Ensure that the O’level result is properly uploaded to JAMB CAPS.
  3. Regularly check the JAMB CAPS Transfer Approval section.
  4. Accept the transfer if JAMB posts the new programme.
  5. Continue monitoring UNIZIK’s admission updates for subsequent instructions.

Candidates should also note that the admission information states that intra-university transfer can only be possible after two years of study.

Final Note

UNIZIK’s 2026/2027 supplementary admission exercise provides eligible candidates with an opportunity to select from 126 listed programmes.

However, candidates should first confirm that they have not already been admitted, review the programmes available to them on their applicant dashboard, and remember the three-choice limit and one-professional-course restriction.

Completing the UNIZIK application does not mean candidates should stop checking JAMB CAPS. Applicants should ensure their O’level results are uploaded correctly and monitor the Transfer Approval section for any change of programme that requires acceptance.
