Northwest University Post-UTME Form 2026/2027

Northwest University Post-UTME Form 2026/2027; Northwest University, Kano, has announced its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for candidates seeking undergraduate admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The online registration will run from Monday, 10 August to Sunday, 6 September 2026.

Candidates seeking admission through UTME must have selected Northwest University, Kano as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME exercise. Direct Entry candidates are also required to meet the university’s stated admission requirements.

The NWU Post-UTME screening charge is ₦2,000.

Who Can Apply for NWU Post-UTME Screening?

UTME candidates must meet the following requirements to participate in the Northwest University screening exercise:

Northwest University, Kano must be the candidate’s first-choice institution.
Candidates must have at least five SSCE credits or their equivalent.
The required credits must include English Language and Mathematics.
The O’Level results must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates must meet the tolerable UTME score for their chosen programme.

The O’Level requirements apply to both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

What Are the NWU Direct Entry Requirements?

Candidates applying through Direct Entry must possess a 2026 Direct Entry online registration slip.

They must also have one of the following qualifications:

National Diploma
IJMB
NCE

The minimum qualification requirements are:

CGPA of 3.0 for science-based programmes
CGPA of 3.5 for art-based programmes
Nine points in NCE
Seven points in science-based IJMB programmes
Eight points in art and social science-based IJMB programmes

Direct Entry candidates must also have at least five SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

The O’Level credits must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.

How to Register for NWU Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening

Candidates are required to complete the screening registration through the university’s admission portal.

Step 1: Visit the NWU Website

Candidates should visit the Northwest University website and click on “2026 Admission Portal”.

The admission portal provides access to the screening registration page.

Step 2: Generate the Payment Invoice

Candidates should generate a NABROLL payment invoice through the admission portal.

Payment can be made online or at any bank nationwide.

Step 3: Pay the Screening Charge

Candidates are required to pay a ₦2,000 screening charge through the approved payment process.

The payment invoice must first be generated from the admission portal before payment is made.

Step 4: Complete the Registration

After making payment, candidates should return to the admission portal and complete the screening registration form.

All information supplied during registration should correspond with the candidate’s academic records.

Step 5: Print the Acknowledgement Slip

After completing the registration, candidates should print their acknowledgement slip.

The acknowledgement slip will be required alongside the candidate’s other credentials during the aptitude test or Direct Entry screening.

What Is the NWU Post-UTME Registration Deadline?

The Northwest University Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration will begin on Monday, 10 August 2026 and close on Sunday, 6 September 2026.

Candidates who fail to complete their registration within the specified period will not be considered for admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Deadline for Changing University or Programme

Candidates who want to change their selected university or programme through the JAMB Green Card must complete the change before midnight on 6 September 2026.

The required change should be completed before the Northwest University screening registration begins.

Candidates Must Upload Credentials to JAMB

Candidates are required to upload their necessary credentials through the JAMB E-Facility.

Applicants should confirm that all required credentials have been uploaded and that their records are complete before the screening deadline.

Candidates Must Enter the Correct SSCE Grades

Every applicant must enter the correct grades shown on their SSCE result during the registration process.

Candidates should carefully check the information they provide before submitting their application.

Any difference between the grades entered on the application form and the grades shown on the candidate’s original result will lead to cancellation of the admission during screening.

Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that all academic information supplied during the application process is accurate and corresponds with their original credentials.
