Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) Admission Form 2026/2027 for 13th Regular Course; The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its 13th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Qualified and interested Nigerians are invited to apply through the online application portal, which will remain open for six weeks from 3 June 2026 to 15 July 2026. Prospective candidates are required to complete and submit their applications within the stipulated period.

Nigeria Police Academy Admission Requirements 2026/2027

Admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is open to male and female Nigerian citizens of good character who meet the academic, age, physical, and medical requirements outlined by the institution.

Nationality and JAMB Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian by birth.
  • Possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
  • Have participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Score a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Select the Nigeria Police Academy as their first-choice institution during JAMB registration.

Only candidates who satisfy these conditions will be considered for admission.

Academic Requirements for POLAC Admission

Applicants must possess a minimum of six credit passes in relevant subjects obtained in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or an equivalent examination.

O’Level Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • At least six credits in relevant subjects.
  • Credits obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.

The Academy has also stated that SSCE results or certificates obtained before 2023 will not be accepted for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.

Age Requirement for Nigeria Police Academy Admission

Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of 31 October 2026.

Applicants are advised to verify their date of birth before applying, as age eligibility forms an important part of the admission screening process.

Physical and Medical Requirements

All applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.

Height Requirements

  • Male applicants must be at least 1.67 metres tall.
  • Female applicants must be at least 1.64 metres tall.

Chest Measurement Requirement

Male applicants must have a minimum expanded chest measurement of 86 centimetres (34 inches).

Candidates who do not meet these physical standards may not be considered for admission.

Marital Status and Pregnancy Requirements

Applicants must be unmarried at the time of admission.

Female candidates must also not be pregnant during the admission process.

POLAC Admission Form Fee

The application fee for the 13th Regular Course admission exercise is Six Thousand Naira (₦6,000).

  • ₦2,000 Post UTME examination fee.

How to Apply for Nigeria Police Academy Admission 2026/2027

Candidates are required to complete their application through the official Nigeria Police Academy application portal.

Application Procedure

  1. Visit the Nigeria Police Academy application portal.
  2. Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
  3. Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦6,000 through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.
  4. Complete the online application form.
  5. Upload all required documents.
  6. Print the completed online application form.
  7. Print the guarantor form.
  8. Submit the printed forms during the aptitude test at the Academy.

Documents Required for Online Application

Applicants must upload clear scanned copies of the following documents:

  • SSCE result
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate of origin

The uploaded documents should be legible and suitable for verification during the admission process.

POLAC Aptitude Test 2026/2027

All applicants will participate in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) aptitude examination at the Nigeria Police Academy ICT Centre, Wudil, Kano State.

The exact date of the examination will be announced by the Academy at a later time.

Candidates are advised to regularly check official communication channels for updates.

What Happens After the Aptitude Test?

Applicants who achieve the required score in the Computer-Based Test will be invited for the automated physical screening exercise.

The screening will take place at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, on a date to be announced by the Academy.

Documents Required for Physical Screening

Candidates invited for physical screening must present original copies of the following documents:

  • Educational qualifications and certificates
  • Birth certificate or declaration of age
  • Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital
  • Certificate of good character from the applicant’s village or district head
  • Indigene certificate signed by a Local Government Chairman or Secretary
  • Completed guarantor form

Approved Guarantors

The guarantor must be one of the following:

  • A public servant not below Grade Level 13
  • A police officer not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP)
  • An equivalent officer from the Armed Forces or other paramilitary agencies

Medical Screening and Interview Process

Candidates who successfully pass the aptitude test and physical screening stages will be invited for automated medical screening at the Academy.

Successful candidates will also participate in an automated interview and selection exercise before final admission decisions are made.

Candidates offered admission will commence training at the Academy on a date to be communicated later.

Duration and Nature of POLAC Degree Programmes

Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy will undergo a combination of academic studies and professional police training for a minimum period of five years.

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will:

  • Earn a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
