COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form 2026/2027

COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form 2026/2027; Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly known as Anambra State University (ANSU), has announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected COOU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates who did not initially choose COOU may also apply after completing a change of institution through an accredited JAMB CBT Centre.

COOU Post UTME Eligibility Requirements 2026/2027

Candidates who selected COOU as their first-choice university and meet the minimum UTME score requirement for their chosen course are eligible to register for the screening exercise.

UTME Cut-Off Marks

The following programmes require a minimum UTME score of 200:

  • Law
  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Medical Laboratory Science
  • Pharmaceutical Science

Candidates applying for all other courses must have scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.

The university has also advised candidates who scored between 150 and 165 to consider some recommended courses where admission opportunities may be more favourable.

Can Candidates Who Did Not Choose COOU Apply?

Yes. Candidates who did not select COOU as their first-choice institution can still apply, provided they meet the required UTME score for their intended course.

However, such candidates must first complete a change of institution to COOU through an approved JAMB CBT Centre before proceeding with the admission process.

COOU Direct Entry Admission Requirements

Direct Entry candidates who selected COOU as their first-choice institution are also eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications in relevant disciplines:

  • National Certificate in Education (NCE)
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
  • Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • First Degree
  • Advanced Level (A’ Level) qualifications

Direct Entry Transcript Submission Requirement

All Direct Entry candidates must ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded to the Registrar, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, on or before the Post UTME screening deadline.

The university has stated that transcripts received after the deadline will not be considered for admission purposes.

COOU Age Requirement for Admission

Candidates must be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum age requirement by the specified date will not be eligible for admission consideration.

COOU Post UTME Form Fee 2026/2027

The Post UTME and Direct Entry screening application fee is Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000) only.

Candidates should note that the fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the official application portal.

COOU Post UTME Registration Dates

Online registration for the 2026/2027 screening exercise will commence on:

  • Opening Date: Monday, 8 June 2026
  • Closing Date: Tuesday, 7 July 2026

Candidates who fail to complete their online registration before the deadline will not be considered for the screening exercise.

O’Level and A’Level Result Upload Requirement

Upload of O’Level results is compulsory for all applicants.

In addition, Direct Entry candidates are required to upload their A’Level qualifications or equivalent credentials where applicable during the online registration process.

Failure to upload the required results may affect admission consideration.

How to Apply for COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening

Candidates should complete their application through the official COOU admission portal by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the COOU Admission Portal

Access the official COOU admission application portal.

Step 2: Create an Account

Click on “Create One” below the “Sign In” button if you do not already have an account.

Step 3: Provide Valid Contact Details

Use a personal email address and active phone number that can be easily accessed throughout the admission process.

Step 4: Log In

Sign in using your JAMB Registration Number and the password created during account registration.

Step 5: Complete the Application

Follow the application progress menu and provide all required information to successfully complete your Post UTME or Direct Entry registration.
