FUTO Post UTME and Direct Entry Form for 2026/2027 Session; The Federal University of Technology Owerri has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The screening is for candidates who applied for undergraduate admission through JAMB, selected FUTO as first choice, and sat for the 2026 UTME or applied through Direct Entry. Candidates who did not originally choose FUTO can still apply, but they must change their institution to FUTO on JAMB CAPS on or before 31 July 2026.

FUTO Screening Dates and Eligibility Requirements

The online application portal opened on Friday, 22 May 2026, while the deadline for registration is Friday, 31 July 2026.

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:

  • Score at least 150 in the 2026 UTME
  • Be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026
  • Have the correct UTME subject combination for the chosen course as stated in the JAMB brochure
  • Choose FUTO as first choice or change to FUTO before the deadline

FUTO O’Level Requirements

Applicants must possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Three other relevant subjects related to the chosen course

The results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

For MBBS candidates, FUTO requires five credit passes in:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

These five credits must be obtained in one sitting.

FUTO Course With Minimum JAMB Score of 200

The MBBS programme under the College of Medicine requires a minimum UTME score of 200.

Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery must also meet the one-sitting O’Level requirement.

FUTO Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry applicants must possess any of the following:

  • A’Level passes in relevant subjects
  • OND
  • HND
  • First Degree in a related field

Candidates must also ensure that their certificates are verified by the awarding institution on JAMB CAPS.

Academic transcripts must reach the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, not later than 17 August 2026.

FUTO Screening Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only.

The payment process begins with invoice generation on the university portal.

FUTO Screening Method

FUTO will conduct the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening through internal screening of submitted credentials.

The university will verify:

  • JAMB scores
  • O’Level results uploaded on JAMB CAPS

Candidates must upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS not later than 17 August 2026.

Applicants should ensure that the information on JAMB CAPS matches the details submitted on the Post UTME portal.

  • Email address

FUTO will only consider candidates whose course on JAMB CAPS matches the course selected during Post UTME registration.

Only candidates who complete the application and upload their O’Level results before the deadline will be considered for admission.

How to Apply for FUTO Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening

Candidates should follow these steps carefully:

  1. Visit the FUTO Official Website
  2. Click “Prospective Students”
  3. Select “Undergraduate”
  4. Generate an invoice using your JAMB registration number
  5. Obtain the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
  6. Pay at any bank or with an ATM card
  7. Visit the FUTO Undergraduate Portal
  8. Log in with your JAMB registration number
  9. Complete the application form
  10. Confirm all entries carefully
  11. Submit the application
  12. Print the acknowledgement slip
