The programme is designed for science students who want to pursue selected undergraduate programmes at FUHSO. It provides intensive academic preparation alongside coaching for the JAMB/UTME examination.
The application form costs ₦10,000, and the fee is non-refundable. Applications opened on 7 August 2026 and will close on 31 October 2026.
FUHSO Remedial Admission Requirements
Applicants must have at least three O’Level credit passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE or an equivalent examination.

Duration of the FUHSO Remedial Programme
The programme runs for nine months.
Students will receive intensive teaching in relevant subjects and participate in laboratory exercises. The programme is designed to strengthen students’ academic foundation and prepare them for 100 Level study.
JAMB/UTME preparation is also included in the programme.
JAMB/UTME Preparation
FUHSO will organise a JAMB/UTME clinic for students enrolled in the Remedial Science Programme.
The clinic will provide intensive teaching and coaching to help candidates prepare for the JAMB/UTME examination.
However, students seeking admission into FUHSO degree programmes must still satisfy the UTME requirements for their chosen courses.
Conditions for Automatic Placement
Successful completion of the remedial programme does not by itself guarantee automatic placement into a degree programme.
For automatic placement, candidates must:
- Score at least 50% in each subject taken
- Maintain at least 75% attendance during teaching and laboratory sessions
- Choose FUHSO as their first-choice university in JAMB/UTME
- Obtain the University’s cut-off mark for the chosen course
The applicable cut-off mark may be reviewed from one academic session to another.
Therefore, candidates must satisfy all the conditions before automatic placement can apply.

The application form costs ₦10,000.
The fee is non-refundable and should be paid through the official application portal.
