      BBC Media Action is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Research Officer to support the design, implementation, and analysis of research and evaluation activities related to media and development projects. This role requires a strong background in quantitative research, with additional experience in mixed-method and digital/social media research considered an advantage.


      Key Requirements:

      • A minimum of a first degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, the Humanities, or a related field

      • At least 3 years of experience conducting research and evaluation for development-focused projects, or equivalent experience in social/market research within a research agency

      • Strong background in quantitative research design, implementation, and data analysis

      • Experience managing or conducting mixed-method research

      • Competency in using data analysis tools and producing insightful reports

      • Experience in digital/social media research design and evaluation is desirable

      • Willingness and ability to conduct fieldwork, including in rural or geographically challenging areas

      • Adaptability to resource-constrained environments and field conditions
