FCET Asaba Full-Time/ Part-Time NCE Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Session; Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba (FCET Asaba), has commenced the sale of admission forms for its National Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into the College’s Full-Time and Part-Time NCE programmes. The part-time programmes will be offered through evening and weekend classes, providing flexible learning opportunities for candidates who may not be able to enroll in the regular full-time programme.

The admission exercise covers courses in vocational education, science education, business education, technical education, early childhood care, primary education, adult education, and non-formal education.

Eligibility Requirements for Full-Time NCE Admission

Candidates applying for the Full-Time NCE programme must have scored at least 100 in the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The UTME score serves as the minimum entry requirement for admission into the full-time programme.

Admission Requirements for Full-Time and Part-Time NCE Programmes

Applicants seeking admission into either the Full-Time or Part-Time NCE programme must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), GCE O’Level, or NECO with at least five passed subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Three credit-level subjects obtained in one sitting or four credits obtained in two sittings.
  • Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with credit or merit in at least three subjects, including English Language.
  • Vocational and Technical Education qualifications such as RSA or City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate with Federal Craft Training Certificate.
  • Associateship Certificate in Education from a recognised institution.
  • Successful completion of Pre-NCE final examinations or MPCE examinations.
  • Successful completion of a recognised selection examination such as JAMB for direct admission consideration.

Candidates are advised to confirm that their qualifications meet the requirements before obtaining an application form.

Application Fees

The application fees differ for the Full-Time and Part-Time programmes.

Full-Time NCE Application Fee

The Full-Time NCE admission form costs N2,000.

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the College Bursary Office.

Part-Time NCE Application Fee

The Part-Time NCE admission form costs N4,000.

The fee is also non-refundable and must be paid at the bank through the College Bursary Office.

How to Apply for Full-Time NCE Admission

Candidates applying for the Full-Time programme should follow these steps:

  1. Pay the non-refundable N2,000 application fee through the Bursary Office.
  2. Collect the blue receipt after payment.
  3. Take the blue receipt to the Admissions Office.
  4. Obtain the application form.
  5. Complete the form with accurate personal and academic information.
  6. Submit the completed form before the deadline.

How to Apply for Part-Time NCE Admission

Candidates seeking admission into the Part-Time programme should complete the following steps:

  1. Pay the non-refundable N4,000 application fee at the bank through the Bursary Office.
  2. Collect the blue receipt after payment.
  3. Present the receipt at the Degree Unit.
  4. Obtain the Part-Time NCE admission form.
  5. Complete the form with accurate information.
  6. Submit the completed form to the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) before the deadline.

Applicants are advised to keep their blue receipts safely, as they will be required during the application process.

JAMB Registration Requirement for Part-Time Students

Candidates admitted into the Part-Time NCE programme will be required to register at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre after securing admission.

This requirement applies only after admission has been granted.

Application Deadline

For both Full-Time and Part-Time NCE programmes, completed application forms must be submitted to the office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) on or before the matriculation ceremony for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates are encouraged to complete payment, form collection, and submission well ahead of the matriculation date to avoid delays.
