David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship 2026/2027 Opens for New Courses at Covenant and Landmark Universities; The David Oyedepo Foundation has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Scholarship Programme, introducing newly approved courses at Covenant University and Landmark University.

The scholarship is designed for eligible young Africans who have already started their admission applications to either Covenant University or Landmark University. Successful applicants will receive funding that covers 100% of their academic tuition fees for the duration of their programme, up to a maximum of five years, depending on the approved course duration of the university.

Newly Approved Courses for the 2026/2027 Scholarship

The Foundation has expanded the list of eligible programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Landmark University

The newly approved courses at Landmark University are:

  • Software Engineering
  • Cyber Security
  • Public Health
  • Nursing Science
  • Criminology and Security Studies
  • Telecommunication Science

Covenant University

The newly approved courses at Covenant University are:

  • Law
  • Medicine and Surgery

Applicants are advised to confirm that their intended course is included in the approved list before submitting their scholarship application.

Scholarship Benefits

The David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship covers the full academic tuition fees of successful beneficiaries.

The scholarship is valid for a maximum of five years, depending on the official duration of the recipient’s chosen programme at Covenant University or Landmark University.

Expenses Not Covered by the Scholarship

While the scholarship covers full academic fees, it does not cover certain personal and additional expenses.

These include:

  • Travel expenses
  • Feeding allowances
  • Medical or health insurance
  • Any charges outside the university-generated academic fees for the approved course

Applicants should make adequate financial arrangements to cover these expenses during their studies.

Eligibility Requirements

The scholarship is open to young Africans who meet all of the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen and permanent resident of an African country.
  • Must be between 16 and 25 years old at the time of application.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Nigerian student visa.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must demonstrate outstanding academic performance in secondary school.
  • Must have already begun the admission process into Covenant University or Landmark University.

Academic Requirements

Applicants are expected to meet the following academic standards:

Nigerian Applicants

  • A minimum JAMB score of 240.

International Applicants

  • A minimum of 80% overall average or a 4.0 GPA on a 5.0 scale in their secondary or high school academic records.

Does the Scholarship Guarantee Admission?

No.

Applying for the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship does not automatically guarantee admission into Covenant University or Landmark University.

Applicants must independently secure admission through the university’s normal admission process before they can benefit from the scholarship.

Selection Process

The scholarship is awarded through a merit-based and need-dependent competitive selection process.

After the application deadline, eligible applications will be reviewed by the Foundation’s selection panel.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in interviews conducted online through a video conferencing platform.

Documents Required from Finalists

Applicants who are shortlisted for the final stage of the selection process will be required to provide:

  • Proof of application to Covenant University or Landmark University.
  • Proof of citizenship.
  • Original copies of every document uploaded during the online application process.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on several factors, including:

  • Outstanding academic performance.
  • Demonstrated financial need.
  • Good character.
  • Leadership ability and community involvement.
  • Commitment to using acquired knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of their home communities.

The Foundation has stated that these criteria are considered collectively and are not arranged in any particular order of importance.

Interested applicants should complete the online application through the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship application portal.

Only applications submitted through the official online application system will be considered.

Application Guidelines

Before beginning the application, candidates should ensure they have:

  • A computer.
  • Reliable internet access.
  • A scanner for uploading required documents.

Applicants should note that documents photographed with a mobile phone will result in disqualification. All required documents must be properly scanned before uploading.

Can You Save Your Application?

Yes.

Applicants do not need to complete the application in one sitting. The online system allows users to save their progress and continue later.

However, accounts that remain inactive for 30 days will be automatically deleted.

Language Requirement

All application questions must be completed in English.

Similarly, any supporting document originally issued in another language must be translated into English before submission.

Email Applications Are Not Accepted

The Foundation does not accept applications submitted through email or any method other than the official online application portal.

Only applications completed and submitted through the online system will be considered.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, 17 July 2026.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to complete and submit their applications before the closing date and ensure that all required supporting documents are properly scanned and uploaded through the official application portal.
