Auchi Polytechnic HND Admission Requirements 2026/2027
Candidates seeking admission into any HND programme must possess the National Diploma (ND) of Auchi Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification obtained from an institution whose programme has full NBTE accreditation.
The ND qualification must also be linked to JAMB admission records.
Applicants must have gained admission into their National Diploma programme through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Candidates without a JAMB admission letter and JAMB registration number for their ND programme will not qualify for HND admission and may encounter difficulties during NYSC mobilisation.
General HND Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- National Diploma (ND) or equivalent qualification from an NBTE-accredited programme
- JAMB admission letter and JAMB registration number for the ND programme
- Five O’Level credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings
- English Language and Mathematics among the required credits
- WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result
- Minimum of one year post-ND Industrial Experience
- Two years post-ND Industrial Experience for candidates who graduated with a Pass grade at ND level
- NBTE-certified Industrial Training completion certificate
- Academic transcript (required for graduates of institutions other than Auchi Polytechnic)
Any candidate found deficient in any admission requirement after admission has been offered will be withdrawn from the institution.

Entry Requirements

- At least a Lower Credit in HND Building Technology
- Qualification obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution or equivalent

Duration
The Professional Diploma in Building Technology runs on a full-time basis for 18 calendar months, covering at least three semesters.
Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning
Applicants may qualify through any of the following routes:

- Upper Credit in HND Urban and Regional Planning
- Evidence of satisfactory NYSC completion
Route 2
- Lower Credit in HND Urban and Regional Planning
