General Admission Requirements
UTME Candidates
Applicants must:
- Obtain a minimum score of 150 in the 2026 UTME as approved by JAMB
- Possess at least five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings
The required subjects must include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other subjects relevant to the chosen course
For MBBS candidates, the required credits must be obtained in one sitting only.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
Direct Entry into 200 Level
Candidates must satisfy the O’Level requirements listed above and also possess:
- Two A’Level passes
- IJMB or JUPEB qualifications
- ND, NCE, or ATS certificates in relevant disciplines
Applicants must also obtain the JAMB Direct Entry form for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Specific Direct Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.)
Candidates must possess:
- Two A’Level passes in Biology/Zoology and either Chemistry or Physics
OR - Registered Nursing Certificate (RN) from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
OR - B.Sc. degree with at least Second Class Lower in Biological or Health Sciences
Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)
Applicants must possess:
- Two A’Level passes in Biology/Zoology and either Chemistry or Physics
OR - Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
OR - B.Sc. degree with at least Second Class Lower in Biological Sciences
Engineering Programmes
Candidates must possess:
- Two A’Level passes including Mathematics and Physics
OR - National Diploma with Upper Credit in Engineering
Bachelor of Law (LL.B.)
Candidates must possess:
- Two Principal or Advanced Level passes in HSC, GCE, IJMB, or JUPEB
OR - An acceptable bachelor’s degree
A credit pass in Literature in English in WAEC, NECO, or GCE O’Level is compulsory for all Law applicants.
Direct Entry into 300 Level
Candidates seeking admission into 300 Level must possess HND qualifications in relevant fields.
The university also accepts the following qualifications:
- HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics for B.Sc. Computer Science
- HND in Computer Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering for Engineering programmes
- HND in Civil Engineering for B.Eng. Civil Engineering
Professional qualifications such as:
- ACCA
- ACIB
- ACIS
- ACIN
- ACIT
are accepted for admission into Accounting and Business Administration.
