The university has invited all candidates who applied for admission into its undergraduate programmes through the 2026 UTME or Direct Entry to register for the mandatory online screening exercise, which begins on Monday, 6 July 2026.
Who Is Eligible for ABU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening?
To participate in the screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- UTME candidates must have scored 180 and above in the 2026 UTME.
- Direct Entry candidates are also required to register and pay the screening fee.
- Candidates who fail to complete the screening registration will not be considered for admission into Ahmadu Bello University for the 2026/2027 academic session.
When Does ABU Screening Registration Begin?
The online screening registration commenced on Monday, 6 July 2026.
All eligible candidates are expected to complete their registration through the official ABU screening portal by providing accurate personal and academic information.
ABU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Fee
The screening registration fee is ₦2,000 only.
Candidates can make payment using any of the following methods:
- Online payment with a debit (ATM) card.
- Print the transaction slip and pay at any commercial bank nationwide.
Candidates are not required to travel to Zaria to complete the payment.
How to Register for ABU Post UTME/DE Screening
Eligible candidates should follow these steps:
