ABU Opens Second Phase of 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Registration; Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has opened the second phase of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration and screening exercise.
The announcement was contained in a Special Bulletin dated Saturday, 26 September 2026, signed by the Registrar, Rabiu Samaila.
The second phase of the registration exercise follows the release of the 2026 NECO results.
ABU Second-Phase Registration Runs from 28 to 30 September
The second phase of the ABU Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise will run from Monday, 28 September to Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
Candidates who have not previously registered for the screening exercise are expected to complete their registration within this period.
Candidates who were unable to complete their registration because of O’Level deficiencies may also return to the university’s portal to complete the process.
Registration is mandatory for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates. ABU stated that candidates who fail to register for the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into any of the university’s programmes.
How to Register for ABU Post-UTME
Candidates should complete their registration through the ABU Post-UTME registration portal.

UTME candidates are required to upload clear copies of their O’Level results during the registration process.
Candidates should also carefully review the grades entered during registration and ensure that the information provided is accurate before completing the screening form.
According to ABU, candidates’ O’Level results will form part of the admission scores for UTME candidates. Applicants are therefore advised to check their submitted information carefully.
ABU Explains First and Second Batch Aggregate Results
UTME candidates who registered for the screening exercise and were successfully screened before Thursday, 10 September 2026 can check their aggregate results through the university portal.
Candidates who registered after 10 September 2026 will have their aggregate results released as part of the Second Batch in due course.
Candidates Should Check JAMB CAPS
All candidates are advised to check their JAMB CAPS or e-Facility account to confirm that their O’Level results have been uploaded.
ABU warned that admission cannot be processed through JAMB CAPS if the required O’Level result is missing.
Candidates should therefore ensure that their O’Level results are properly uploaded and reflected on their JAMB profiles as part of the admission process.
