How to Apply for UNILAG Direct Entry 2026/2027
Eligible candidates should complete their application through the official UNILAG application portal before the 29 September 2026 deadline.
Follow these steps:
- Visit the UNILAG application portal.
- Click “Start New Application.”
- Select “Undergraduate” under Application Type.
- Log in using your JAMB Direct Entry registration number as the username.
- Use your surname in lowercase as the password.
- Generate and print your payment advice.
- Pay the N3,500 application fee either at a commercial bank or online.
- Return to the UNILAG application portal after payment.
- Click “Continue Application.”
- Complete the application form.

Who Can Apply for UNILAG Direct Entry?

1. UNILAG must be your first choice
You must have selected the University of Lagos as your first choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application.
2. You need five O’Level credits
Candidates must have five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects.
The required credits must include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other relevant subjects
The subjects must be relevant to the candidate’s proposed course of study.
3. You must be at least 16 years old
Candidates who will not be 16 years old by 30 September 2026 are not eligible to apply.

Can Former UNILAG Students Apply Again?
Former UNILAG students whose admission was withdrawn because of poor academic performance or absence status may apply for fresh admission.
However, if offered admission, the new programme or course must be different from the programme or course they previously studied.
A student who was expelled from UNILAG cannot be offered fresh admission.
UNILAG Drug Policy
UNILAG has stated that it operates a zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse.
The university may withdraw the admission of a newly admitted student who tests positive for drug use during a University-conducted test, whether the test takes place before or after registration.
