
UNN Post UTME/Direct Entry Form 2026/2027; The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening registration for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution and scored 160 or above in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply. Direct Entry candidates who also chose UNN as their first choice are required to complete the online screening registration.
Registration opens on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 and closes at midnight on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

UNN Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2026/2027 UNN Post UTME screening, candidates must:
- Choose the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME.
- Score 160 or above in the 2026 UTME.
- Be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026.
- Have names on their WAEC or NECO results that exactly match those used during JAMB registration.
- Upload their O’level results to both JAMB CAPS and the UNN portal on or before 5 August 2026.
Candidates who fail to meet any of these requirements should not apply.
UNN Cut-Off Mark for 2026/2027
The minimum UTME score required for the screening exercise is 160.
Meeting this cut-off only qualifies candidates to participate in the screening process. It does not automatically guarantee admission.
Can Candidates Who Did Not Choose UNN Apply?
No.
Only candidates who selected the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as their first-choice institution are eligible for both UTME and Direct Entry screening.
UNN Age Requirement
Applicants must be 16 years old by 30 September 2026.
Candidates younger than 16 years on that date are not eligible for admission.
Applicants should carefully confirm their date of birth before submission because UNN will not allow any correction after registration.
Can Awaiting Result Candidates Apply?
Yes.
Candidates awaiting the release of their O’level results may register by entering their SSCE subjects during registration.
However, they must upload their results to both:
- JAMB CAPS
- UNN admission portal
on or before Wednesday, 5 August 2026.
Candidates who intend to sit the November or December 2026 WAEC GCE or NECO examinations are not eligible for this admission exercise.
Names on JAMB and O’Level Results Must Match
UNN requires that the names appearing on your WAEC or NECO result must exactly match those used during JAMB registration.
Candidates should carefully verify the spelling and arrangement of their names before completing the application.

- Application fee: ₦2,000
- Processing fee: ₦3,300

How to Apply for UNN Post UTME 2026/2027
Follow these steps to complete your application:
- Visit the University of Nigeria official website and open the admission portal.
- Click Prospective Students.
- Select Online Application Form for 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Generate your payment invoice.
- Pay the required ₦5,300 through Remita or with your ATM card.
- Return to the portal after payment confirmation.
- Complete your personal information carefully.
- Enter your O’level subjects, grades, examination number and examination centre.
- Carefully verify every grade entered.
- Upload all required documents. Each uploaded file must not exceed 100KB.
- Review the application summary page thoroughly.
- Tick the confirmation box and submit the application.
- Print your acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Documents Required
Applicants are required to upload:
- Birth Certificate
- Local Government Identification
- Testimonial
- First School Leaving Certificate
- JAMB Result Slip
- First O’level Result
- Second O’level Result (where applicable)
Candidates using two sittings should upload both results under the appropriate sections labelled O’Level 1 and O’Level 2.
Birth Certificate Requirement
Candidates should carefully verify that the date of birth on their birth certificate matches the date entered during registration.
UNN has stated that no correction of date of birth will be allowed after submission.
Can Candidates Combine Two O’Level Sittings?
Yes.
Applicants using two sittings should upload both results through the designated sections on the portal.
Candidates using only one sitting should upload it under the first O’level section.

Before submitting the application, candidates should verify:
- JAMB Registration Number
- Full name and name arrangement
- Date of birth
- Examination number
- Examination centre
- O’level subjects and grades
- Uploaded documents
- First or second sitting details where applicable
Always compare every entry with your original documents before submission.
O’Level Upload Requirement
Uploading O’level results to the UNN portal alone is not enough.
Candidates must upload their results to both:
- JAMB CAPS
- UNN Admission Portal
Both uploads must be completed on or before 5 August 2026.
Failure to upload to either platform may result in disqualification from admission consideration.
Direct Entry Candidates
Direct Entry candidates who selected UNN as their first choice must also register through the same screening portal.
In addition, they must ensure that the A’level qualification used for JAMB Direct Entry registration has been verified through the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS) before completing the screening registration.
After Registration
Candidates should:
- Keep their acknowledgement slip safely.
- Regularly monitor the UNN website for further announcements.
The university has not yet announced the screening date or examination format. Updates will be released later.
