FUTB Post UTME and Direct Entry Eligibility Requirements
Candidates applying for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Babura must satisfy the university’s admission requirements.
UTME Candidates
Applicants seeking admission through UTME must:
- Score a minimum of 150 in the 2026 UTME.
- Possess at least five relevant credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent in not more than two sittings.
- Have credit passes in both English Language and Mathematics as part of the required five credits.
Direct Entry Candidates
Candidates applying through Direct Entry must possess one of the following qualifications:
- A minimum of Lower Credit in a National Diploma (ND) or Innovative Diploma (ID).
- A minimum of 4 points in two subjects for IJMB candidates.
Science Courses Eligible for Scholarship
Applicants admitted into some science programmes may be considered for scholarship opportunities after admission.

FUTB Post UTME Registration Dates
The online application portal opens on:
- Start Date: Monday, 29 June 2026
- Closing Date: Wednesday, 30 September 2026

How to Apply for FUTB Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening
All applications will be completed through the FUTB online application portal using the candidate’s JAMB registration number.
Step 1: Check Eligibility
- Visit the FUTB online application portal.
- Navigate to the course display table.
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Check your eligibility status.
- If eligible, your available course will be displayed.
- Click the “More Information” button beside the course to view:
- Course requirements
- Application fee
- Programme duration
- Application closing date
- Academic session

How to Create a FUTB Portal Account
Applicants who do not already have an account can either sign up using Google or create an account manually.
For manual registration:
- Complete the registration form below the “Sign up with Google” option.
- Click “Create Account.”
- An activation code will be sent to the email address provided during registration.
- Enter the activation code in the spaces provided.
- Click “Confirm” to activate the account.
Candidates with existing accounts may simply select “Login with Google.”
How to Complete the Application Form
After logging in successfully:
- You will be redirected to the payment page.
- Once payment is successful, an application preview will appear.
- Click “Proceed to Application Form.”
- Complete all required empty fields in every section.
- Note that pre-filled fields cannot be edited.
- Click the “Next” button to move between sections.
- Review your application carefully at the Preview and Submit stage.
- Submit the completed application.
Once submitted successfully, a confirmation message indicating successful submission will be displayed.
How to Check FUTB Payment Status
Candidates can monitor their payment status directly from their dashboard.
To do this:
- Open the All Applications section.
- Click Transaction History.
- View the status of each payment under the Status column.
If your payment remains pending despite being debited:
- Click the three-dot action button beside the transaction.
- Select Check Status.
- Click Try Again.
If the payment has been processed successfully, the transaction status will be updated automatically.
