
DESPO Weekend ND & HND Admission 2026/2027; Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara (DESPO), has opened admission for its weekend National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The weekend programme is designed for candidates who want to study ND or HND without full weekday attendance. Applicants are advised to confirm available courses, entry requirements, fees, and screening documents before completing the application form.
DESPO Weekend ND and HND Courses
DESPO offers weekend programmes across ND and HND levels. Some courses are available for both levels, while others are restricted to either ND or HND.
The courses cover business, science, statistics, computing, and engineering disciplines.

DESPO Weekend ND Admission Requirements
Applicants for ND weekend programmes must have at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
DESPO accepts WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results, and the credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
DESPO Weekend HND Admission Requirements
HND applicants must also meet the O’Level requirement of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
In addition, applicants must possess an ND certificate from an NBTE-approved polytechnic. Candidates with a Pass grade must also have at least two years of relevant work experience.
How to Apply for DESPO Weekend ND and HND Admission
Interested applicants should apply online through the DESPO weekend admission portal.
The application process includes:
- Selecting “Weekend Application Form” on the portal
- Paying the ₦15,000 application fee using Verve or MasterCard
- Filling out and submitting the application form
- Printing two copies of the acknowledgement slip
Screening and Required Documents
DESPO will announce the screening date later.
Candidates are required to prepare the following documents for screening:
- Four passport photographs
- Proof of payment receipt
- O’Level result or certificate
- ND certificate (for HND applicants)
- Certificate of local government of origin
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- Writing materials (pencil and others)
Applicants are advised to keep their acknowledgement slips and payment receipts safely after completing registration.
