FUTA Post UTME and Direct Entry Form 2026/2027; Federal University of Technology Akure has started online registration for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The registration exercise covers all undergraduate programmes offered by the university. According to the admission notice, online registration begins on Monday, 1 June 2026, and closes on Friday, 3 July 2026.

Candidates seeking admission into FUTA are expected to complete the registration within the approved period, as late applications will not be accepted.

FUTA Post UTME and Direct Entry Registration Dates

FUTA will conduct online registration for the 2026/2027 screening exercise between:

  • Opening Date: Monday, 1 June 2026
  • Closing Date: Friday, 3 July 2026

The screening fee is ₦2,000 only.

Applicants must make payment through the Remita platform after generating the required payment code on the university portal.

Candidates who fail to register before the deadline will not be eligible for the screening exercise.

FUTA Post UTME Eligibility Requirements

UTME candidates applying for admission into FUTA must meet the following conditions:

  • Score at least 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by JAMB
  • Choose FUTA as first-choice institution
  • Possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics
  • Present results from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent examination bodies
  • Have O’Level results obtained in not more than two sittings

Direct Entry candidates must also select FUTA as their first-choice university before completing the application process.

The university stated clearly that admission processing is tied to the institution selected on the JAMB portal.

FUTA Age Requirement for Admission

Candidates applying for admission into FUTA must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum age requirement will not qualify for admission consideration for the 2026/2027 academic session.

FUTA Restores MBBS Admission

FUTA has officially restored admission into its MBBS programme after an earlier suspension.

Candidates interested in studying Medicine and Surgery at the university can now apply, provided they meet the admission requirements for the programme.

How to Apply for FUTA Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening

Applicants should complete their registration through the official FUTA portal.

Follow the steps below to apply:

  1. Visit the FUTA official website
  2. Generate the required Remita payment code
  3. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee through Remita at any bank
  4. Return to the FUTA portal after payment
  5. Complete and submit the online registration form
  6. Print a copy of the completed application form

Candidates should ensure they use the correct UTME registration number and full name during payment and registration.

The name used must match the details on the JAMB slip and other admission documents.

Important FUTA Registration Guidelines

FUTA requires every eligible candidate to complete the online screening registration before participating in the admission exercise.

Applicants must also upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, 3 July 2026.

The university warned that candidates who fail to upload their results to JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

Participation in the screening exercise is also compulsory. FUTA stated that candidates who do not take part in the screening process will not qualify for admission into the university.
