IMSU Post UTME and Direct Entry Form 2026/2027

IMSU Post UTME and Direct Entry Form 2026/2027; Imo State University has announced the commencement of registration for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

Registration officially begins on Monday, 25 May 2026. The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected IMSU as their first-choice institution and scored at least 160 in the 2026 UTME. Direct Entry candidates with approved qualifications can also apply.

IMSU Post UTME Eligibility Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into IMSU through UTME must meet the following conditions:

  • Choose Imo State University, Owerri, as first-choice institution
  • Score a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME
  • Possess the required O’Level subjects for the chosen course

Candidates who did not initially select IMSU as first choice can still apply. However, such candidates must visit the JAMB portal and change their institution to Imo State University before the screening application closes.

Applicants are advised to complete the change of institution early to avoid delays during registration.

IMSU Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

Accepted qualifications include:

  • OND
  • HND
  • First Degree
  • A’Level
  • Other equivalent qualifications

The qualification presented must be relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study. IMSU will only process applications that match the admission requirements for the selected discipline.

Upload O’Level Results to JAMB Portal

All applicants must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB portal.

Candidates awaiting WAEC, NECO or other qualifying results should upload them immediately after release. According to IMSU, candidates whose O’Level results are not uploaded on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

This step is compulsory for both UTME and Direct Entry applicants.

How to Apply for IMSU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening

Candidates should complete their registration online through the IMSU application portal.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the IMSU online application portal
  2. Click on the 2026/2027 Post UTME/Direct Entry application link
  3. Enter your correct JAMB registration number to confirm eligibility
  4. Generate your invoice and proceed to payment
  5. Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 using your JAMB registration number as the invoice number
  6. Return to the portal after 24 hours to complete the application form
  7. Print the acknowledgement slip after successful registration

Candidates must present the printed acknowledgement slip during the screening or aptitude test.

IMSU also advised candidates to use IMSU Microfinance Bank for easier payment processing.

IMSU Aptitude Test Date

The university will later communicate the specific screening date and examination schedule for each candidate.

Applicants should regularly check the portal and keep their acknowledgement slip safe, as it will be required during the screening exercise.

IMSU Post UTME Closing Date

The closing date for the IMSU 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening application is Thursday, 25 June 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete payment, registration and printing of acknowledgement slips before the deadline. Delaying registration until the final days may lead to avoidable errors or network issues.

Important Reminder for IMSU Applicants

Before submitting the application, candidates should ensure that:

  • Their JAMB details are correct
  • Their O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS
  • Their names match across all academic documents
  • Their contact details are active and accessible
