
EBSU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening for 2026/2027 Admission; Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, has officially commenced its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The screening form is open to candidates who selected EBSU as their first-choice institution, as well as candidates who initially chose other universities but are willing to change to EBSU.
Applicants must score at least 150 in the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) before they can apply for the screening exercise.
EBSU Post UTME Application Date
The online application portal opened on 22 May 2026.
The deadline for submission of applications is 22 June 2026.
Candidates who meet the admission requirements are advised to complete their registration within the stated period, as late applications may not be accepted.
Who Can Apply for EBSU Post UTME?
Candidates eligible for the EBSU Post UTME screening include:
- Applicants who selected Ebonyi State University as their first-choice institution
- Candidates who scored at least 150 in the 2026/2027 UTME
Candidates who initially selected another institution can also apply after changing their first-choice institution to EBSU through JAMB.
The university stated that such candidates must complete the change before the Post UTME application deadline.
EBSU Direct Entry Screening
Direct Entry candidates who selected EBSU are also required to participate in the online screening exercise.
Applicants must complete their registration through the university portal and ensure that their previous institutions verify their A’Level certificates on the JAMB portal.
This verification process is necessary before EBSU can recommend candidates for admission through JAMB.
EBSU Screening Fee
The Post UTME and Direct Entry screening fee is:
- ₦2,000 only
The fee is non-refundable.

Awaiting Result Candidates Can Apply
Candidates awaiting any of the following results are eligible to apply:
- NABTEB O’Level results
- WAEC May/June 2026 results
- NECO June/July 2026 results
However, applicants must upload the results immediately after release.
Names Must Match Across Documents
Candidates must ensure that their names appear exactly the same on:
- O’Level certificates
- JAMB records
- Other admission documents
The university warned that name mismatch may lead to disqualification.
No Physical Screening
EBSU stated clearly that candidates are not required to appear for physical screening.
The entire screening process will be conducted online.
O’Level Upload Is Mandatory
Applicants must upload their O’Level results to:
- The EBSU portal
- The JAMB CAPS portal
Failure to upload results to both portals may affect admission processing.
Admission Acceptance on CAPS
Candidates offered admission must accept the admission offer on JAMB CAPS within two weeks.
According to the university, failure to accept the offer within the stated period will lead to withdrawal of the admission.

- Visit the EBSU Post UTME portal
- Scroll to the Quick Menu section
- Click on “Online Application Forms”
- Select either:
- “Application Form for POSTUTME”
- “Application Form for Direct Entry Candidates”
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the correct format
- Click “Login” to generate a payment invoice
- Pay at any bank or online using a debit card
- Return to the portal after payment
- Complete and submit the application form
Applicants are advised to use their personal email address and phone number during registration to avoid communication problems.
