Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Appoints Deputy Rector as Acting Rector; The management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has announced an approved transition in leadership following the completion of the second term of the outgoing Rector, Dr. Moses C. Umobong. The Deputy Rector, Dr. Akanimo E. Jonah, has been appointed to serve as the Acting Rector of the institution.
The approval for the handover was granted by the Honourable Commissioner for Education.
According to an official circular dated 27th November 2025 and signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Godswill E. Udofah, all staff, students, and members of the Polytechnic community are advised to take note of the change and extend full cooperation and support to the Acting Rector.
The circular also requested that the announcement be widely circulated across the institution to ensure full awareness.
