UNICAL Announces Hostel Allocation Guidelines for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has released an important notice regarding hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the announcement, the allocation of hostels will be strictly based on evidence of full payment of school charges.
The notice, signed by the Dean of Students, Prof. Egaga Patrick, states that all fresh and returning students who have completed payment of their full school charges and wish to secure hostel accommodation must submit a photocopy of their verified 2025/2026 school charges receipt to the Dean of Students on or before Friday, 24th October, 2025.
UNICAL Hostel Allocation Procedure
- Students must ensure they have fully paid their school charges for the session.
- A photocopy of the verified payment receipt should be submitted to the Dean of Students’ office.
- Students should clearly indicate their preferred hostel of choice at the back of the submitted receipt.
The university management emphasized that only students who comply with these directives will be considered for hostel allocation.
This move is aimed at ensuring transparency, proper record management, and fair allocation of limited hostel spaces to students who have duly fulfilled their financial obligations to the institution.
