LASU Sandwich Degree Programmes Admission for 2025 Modular Year; The Lagos State University (LASU) has opened applications for admission into its Sandwich Degree Programmes for the 2025 Modular Year. The programmes will be available at both the Ojo and Epe Campuses.
Available Programmes
The following Sandwich Degree programmes are open for application under the Faculty of Education:
- B.Sc (Ed), B.A. (Ed), and B.Ed (Four and Five Years) in the following disciplines:
- B.Sc Education: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Education, and Educational Technology.
- Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: B.Sc Education (Health Education; Physical & Health Education).
- B.Sc Education: Business Education and Educational Management.
- B.Sc Education: Economics, Political Science, Geography.
- B.A. Education: History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, English, Yoruba, Arabic.
- B.Ed Education: Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counselling Education, and Special Education.
General Basic Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
- Five (5) O’Level credits or NABTEB relevant to the chosen course at not more than two sittings, plus two ‘A’ Level passes or NCE Merit in relevant areas.
- A University/Polytechnic two-year Diploma Certificate in a relevant area obtained at not less than Merit/Lower Credit Level.
- Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory for all courses.
Specific Subject Area Requirements
- English Major: Credits in Literature in English and English Language at O’Level or equivalent.
- Economics Major: Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
- Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Credits in English Language, Mathematics, plus subjects from Agricultural Science, Biology, or Physical & Health Science.
- Political Science Major: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Government at O’Level or equivalent.
- Health Education: Credits in English Language, Mathematics, plus subjects from Agricultural Science, Biology, or Health Science. Holders of Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, Environmental Health Diploma (School of Health Technology), plus five O’Level credits (including English Language and Mathematics) are also eligible.
- Mathematics and Science Majors: Credits in Mathematics, English Language, and Physics are compulsory.
Other Acceptable Requirements
- Economics: ICAN (Part II) and CTS (Part II) are acceptable.
- Arabic: Certificates from recognised Arabic institutions (even without SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in Arabic) may be considered, provided other requirements are met. NCE (Arabic) at Merit Level is also acceptable.
- Yoruba: LASU accepts any other Arts/Social Sciences subject in lieu of Yoruba Language.
- Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education, Social Work, Health Administration, Certificate in Coaching, or Advanced Diploma in Sports (Nigerian Institute for Sports) with at least Merit grade, plus five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
Course Duration
- Four (4) Years: For candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Lower Credit grade and above.
- Five (5) Years: For candidates with WASC/SSCE, NABTEB, or NCE who fall short of the entry qualifications for the four-year programme.
Method of Application
- Application forms are available online at www.lasu.edu.ng upon payment of ₦10,000.00 (non-refundable) as the application fee.
- Candidates must submit a copy of their online application form and appropriate O’Level scratch card(s) to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme at either campus.

- Venue: 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre (Hall 1 and 2), LASU
- Time: 9:00 a.m.
- Requirements: Candidates must bring along writing materials, and both original and photocopies of all credentials.
