Borno State University Renamed Kashim Ibrahim University; The management of Borno State University has announced an important development regarding the institution’s identity.
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno State and Visitor of the University, has signed the Bill renaming Borno State University to Kashim Ibrahim University, effective from 4th August 2025.
Implementation of the Name Change
Following this approval, all correspondence, circulars, and official documents — both within and outside the University — must henceforth bear the new name, Kashim Ibrahim University.
Directive to Staff and Units
All Principal Officers, Provosts, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and Units are requested to take note of this change and ensure full compliance going forward.
