NECO 2025 June/July SSCE Results Released; The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), 54 days after the last paper was written.
Announcing the results in Minna, Niger State, NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, disclosed that a total of 1,358,339 candidates sat for the examination. Out of this number, 818,492 candidates (60.26%) obtained five credits and above, including Mathematics and English Language. Additionally, 1,144,496 candidates (84.26%) secured five credits and above, irrespective of English and Mathematics.
Registration Statistics
According to Prof. Wushishi, 1,367,210 candidates registered for the 2025 exam. This figure comprised 685,514 males and 681,696 females, showing almost equal gender participation. Furthermore, 1,622 special-needs students also participated in the examination.
Malpractice and Irregularities
The registrar revealed that 3,878 cases of malpractice were recorded in 2025. This represents a significant 61.58% drop from the 10,094 cases recorded in 2024.
However, the council flagged 38 schools across 13 states for involvement in mass cheating. In addition, nine supervisors from Rivers, Niger, FCT, Kano, and Osun States were recommended for blacklisting over their roles in examination malpractice.
Disrupted Examinations in Adamawa State
Prof. Wushishi also noted that examinations were disrupted in eight schools in Lamorde Local Government Area, Adamawa State, due to communal clashes. These disruptions affected 13 subjects and 29 papers. NECO is currently in discussions with the Adamawa State Government to reconduct the examinations for the affected schools.

All candidates who sat for the examination can now check their results online by following the procedure below:
- Visit the NECO result-checking portal: https://results.neco.gov.ng/
- Select your exam year (e.g., 2025).
- Select your exam type (SSCE INTERNAL – JUNE/JULY).
- Enter your Token Number and Registration Number in the appropriate fields.
- Click on the “Check Result” button to access your NECO result.
