Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Bans Graduating Students’ Sign-Out Celebration; The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has expressed dismay over the rising trend of “Graduating Students’ Sign-Out fan fair”, which students organize to mark their graduation or final stay in the institution.
Management noted that these activities have become increasingly common in recent times and have attracted complaints from several organizations regarding the misuse and abuse of professional outfits during such celebrations.
Official Ban on Sign-Out Celebrations
In view of the above, Management has declared that these sign-out activities are unacceptable as they violate the Polytechnic’s rules and regulations.
Effective immediately, all sign-out celebrations by graduating students are banned within the Polytechnic.
Disciplinary Measures
The institution has stated categorically that any student or group of students found contravening this directive will face strict disciplinary action in line with the Polytechnic’s existing guidelines.
Compliance
All students and student organizations are therefore directed to take note of this decision and comply strictly. Management further urges that this circular be given the widest publicity possible to ensure total compliance.
