UNIUYO Basic Studies Admission Form 2025/2026; Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the one-year Basic Studies programme of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Basic Studies programme is designed to prepare students for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) examinations. Holders of the JUPEB certificate will subsequently be admitted into the 200 level of degree programmes at UNIUYO through JAMB Direct Entry in the following faculties:
- Agriculture
- Arts
- Allied Health Sciences
- Basic Medical Sciences
- Biological Sciences
- Clinical Sciences
- Communication and Media Studies
- Computing
- Education
- Engineering
- Environmental Studies
- Law
- Management Sciences
- Pharmacy
- Physical Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Vocational Education, Library & Information Science
Admission Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other subjects relevant to the intended course of study.
- Results must be obtained at not more than two sittings in SSCE/WASSCE, GCE O’Level, NECO, or NABTEB.
- Admission will be through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) screening.
- JAMB score is not required for this programme. Candidates for the 2025 UTME can also apply, as there will be no supplementary application.
Method of Application
- Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable fee of ₦15,500.00 via the Remita Payment Platform.
Step-by-Step Online Registration
- Visit https://eportals.uniuyo.edu.ng or www.uniuyo.edu.ng and click on the e-portals link.
- Select Basic Studies Link and click on Create Account.
- Enter your details and click Create Account.
- Click on Make Payment.
- Select either Bank Option or Card Option.
- Click on Generate e-invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option).
- For bank payments, print the e-invoice with the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number and pay at any commercial bank.
- For card payments, enter your card details on the payment platform and click Pay.
- After payment, return to the portal, click on Login Form, and enter your RRR number to complete registration.
Note:
- The passport photograph uploaded during registration will be used throughout the screening and registration process. Wrong bio-data or blank photographs will not be corrected after submission.
- The same procedure applies for payment of all fees after admission.
