Admission Requirements — Who Can Apply?
To qualify for admission into any of GOUNI’s postgraduate programmes:
- You must have 5 credit passes in relevant subjects including English and Mathematics at WASSCE/NECO/GCE or equivalent.
- PGD applicants: Minimum of a first degree or HND (merit level) from a recognized institution.
- Master’s degree applicants: Must hold at least a second-class lower (2:2) bachelor’s degree.
- Ph.D. applicants: Should have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 60% or CGPA of 4.00 on a 5-point scale.
👉 Applicants with a lower CGPA may still qualify through a transitional M.A./Ph.D. track.
📌 All applicants are required to pass the Postgraduate Entry Screening (PES).
📌 Academic transcripts must be sent directly by your previous institution to GOUNI’s Postgraduate Office.
Extra Entry Routes
- Transfer Students with a CGPA of at least 2.5 (4-point scale) or 4.0 (5-point scale) are eligible to switch into GOUNI’s PG programmes.
- Visiting Students from other universities are also welcome, provided they have written consent from their home institution and submit official transcripts.
Tuition and Fees
- Application Fees:
- ₦12,500 for Master’s applicants
- ₦25,000 for Ph.D. applicants
- Tuition: Paid before each academic session.
