Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) 2025-2026; Applications are now open for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS), offering talented individuals the opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in low or middle-income Commonwealth countries.

Successful candidates will receive:

  • Fully-funded tuition fees.
  • A living allowance (stipend) for the award’s duration.
  • Economy-class return flights to the host country.
  • An arrival allowance for initial settlement.
  • A research support grant (available upon request and subject to approval).

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the QECS, applicants must:

  1. Be a citizen of a Commonwealth country or hold refugee status in a Commonwealth country.
  2. Apply to study in a Commonwealth country other than their home country or country of citizenship.
  3. Have completed a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second-Class Upper Division (2:1) equivalent.
  4. Provide a final transcript and degree certificate.

Note: There is no upper age limit for eligibility.

Applications are evaluated based on:

  1. Academic history and references.
  2. A plan of study that aligns with your academic and career goals.
  3. Demonstrated potential for development impact post-study.
  4. Networking abilities to build collaborative relationships.

Applicants must:

  • Meet all eligibility criteria for the chosen programme, including work experience if applicable.
  • Include two referees with detailed references submitted as per application guidelines.
