SLU gets full accreditation of its 13 foundation programmes. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to thirteen undergraduate programmes of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK).

This is in line with Section 10 (1) of the Education Act CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which empowers the NUC to establish Minimum Academic Standards for all academic programmes taught in Nigerian universities and to accredit such programmes.
The approval, conveyed to the University via a letter referenced NUC/ES/412/VOL.14/361 and dated 6th June 2024, was signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation, Engineer Abraham Chundusu. It states that the B.Sc. Computer Science programme taught in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) has gained full accreditation for the second time. In the Faculty of Education, B.Sc. (Ed) Biology, B.Sc. (Ed) Chemistry, B.A. (Ed) English, B.Sc. (Ed) Mathematics, and B.Sc. (Ed) Physics also received full accreditation.

In the Faculty of Humanities, B.A. Arabic, B.A. Hausa, B.A. History and International Studies, and B.A. Islamic Studies successfully passed the second accreditation process. Other programmes that gained the NUC’s full accreditation include B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Mathematics, and B.Sc. Physics, which are taught in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences.
Describing the success achieved by the University in obtaining this victory, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, fcasson, mnae, stated that this was a clear indication that the University is working hard to achieve its mission and vision by ensuring quality education for academic excellence.
It is worth recalling that the accreditation process was conducted by the NUC at the University between October and November 2023.
