FULafia Achieves Full Accreditation for 14 Academic Programs 2024

FULafia Achieves Full Accreditation for 14 Academic Programs 2024. The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has successfully secured full accreditation for 14 of its academic programs. Additionally, the university’s anatomy and computer science courses, housed in the Faculty of Basic Medical Science and the Faculty of Computer Science respectively, have received interim accreditation status.

This achievement was communicated through a letter from the National Universities Commission (NUC), signed by Abraham Chundusu, the Acting Director of Accreditation, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman.

In October and November 2023, the NUC conducted an accreditation exercise for several programs at FULafia. The following programs received full accreditation after this exercise:

  5. Physiology
  6. English and Literary Studies
  7. French
  8. Theatre and Media Arts
  9. Business Education
  10. Biochemistry

  12. Mathematics
  13. Physics
  14. Zoology
  15. Social Works

According to the NUC’s letter, the full accreditation status for undergraduate programs is valid for a period of five years.
