Accreditation Process
The accreditation process was based on Section 10 (1) of the Education (National Minimum Standard and Establishment of Institution) Act, CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which authorizes the NUC to set minimum academic standards and accredit programmes in Nigerian universities. The NUC conducted thorough evaluations and assessments of the programmes at ACU between October and December 2023.

In September 2023, the Executive Secretary of the NUC had informed the university management about the scheduled accreditation exercise. Subsequently, accreditation teams from various departments of the NUC visited ACU to assess the institution’s readiness and compliance with NUC regulations for the accreditation of academic programmes.
