General O’Level Requirements
- Five credit passes, including English and Mathematics
- Three other relevant subjects
Master’s Degree
- Second Class Lower in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 0/5.0
- Third Class with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Lower Credit CGPA of 0/5.0
- Degree from a university recognized by YSU Senate
Ph.D. Degree
- Second Class Lower in a related field
- Academic Master’s degree with a minimum grade of ‘B’ (60%)
- Proven capacity for academic research and sound judgement
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Second Class Lower or HND with Lower Credit CGPA of 0/5.0
- Third Class degree may be accepted for related fields or conversion programmes
How to Apply
- Visit the YSU Postgraduate Application Portal.
- Create an account.
- Generate the RRR and make payment via e-payment or bank deposit.
- Log in using your phone number and RRR.
- Complete the application form.
- Print your application slip.
- Upload required documents, including certificates, transcripts, birth certificate, and local government identification letter.
- Select your course and area of specialization if applicable.
- Only one programme can be applied for at a time.
- The university reserves the right to accept or reject any application without explanation.
Application Deadline

Ensure all application steps are completed before the closing date: Monday, 21st April 2025. Only complete and accurate applications will be processed.
