About the YALI RLC West Africa Emerging Leaders Program
YALI, an initiative of the United States government, aims to invest in the future leaders of Africa. The Accra Regional Leadership Centre (RLC) serves nine West African countries: Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Cameroon, and Sierra Leone. This program offers hands-on training at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and focuses on leadership development across three key tracks.

The program includes three main tracks for aspiring young leaders:
- Business and Entrepreneurship: For those aspiring to be entrepreneurs or future private sector leaders.
- Civil Society Management: For individuals engaging with or aspiring to work in community organizations or NGOs.
- Public Policy and Management: For those working or interested in government roles, regional organizations, or policy think tanks.
Program Cost
This fellowship is fully funded for participants attending the program in Accra, Ghana.
Eligibility Criteria for YALI RLC West Africa
PRACTICE PAST QUESTIONS HERE (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, POST-UTME)
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age between 18 to 35 years.
- Citizenship in Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, or The Gambia.
- Proficiency in English.
- Active engagement in making a positive impact within their community or organization.
- Interest and experience in Public Policy Management, Business and Entrepreneurship, or Civic Leadership.
Applications are especially encouraged from:
- Young leaders based in rural areas.
- Economically disadvantaged young leaders.
- Women and minority groups.
- Young leaders with disabilities.
