YABATECH SUG Convenes Emergency Meeting Over Examination Challenges and Student Welfare Concerns; The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Yaba College of Technology has announced an emergency consultative meeting to address the growing concerns surrounding students’ academic and welfare issues on campus.
According to an internal memorandum released on Monday, December 8, 2025, all Faculty Presidents and Departmental Presidents have been invited to attend the meeting. The SUG explained that the forum is essential due to numerous complaints from students regarding examination-related challenges, the delayed release of last semester’s results, and other welfare matters affecting overall student wellbeing.
Purpose of the Meeting
The emergency meeting aims to:
- Review the key issues raised by students
- Gather input and feedback from major stakeholders
- Formulate unified recommendations
- Present actionable solutions to the school management for immediate intervention
The SUG stressed that the collective participation of student leaders is vital to ensure that the concerns of the student body are adequately represented.
