WAEC GCE (2nd Series) 2025 Registration Deadline Extended; The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2025 WASSCE for Private Candidates (2nd Series).
- New PIN Generation Closing Date: Friday, October 3, 2025
- Final Registration Deadline: Sunday, October 5, 2025 (11:59 pm)
The registration fee remains ₦27,000, with an additional ₦500 commission payable to banks or accredited agents.
How to Register
- Purchase a Registration PIN from any of the following banks or accredited agents:
- Access Bank, Ecobank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank, FCMB, GTBank, Heritage Bank, Jaiz Bank, Polaris Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered, Sterling Bank, Union Bank, UBA, Unity Bank, WEMA Bank, Zenith Bank.
- Visit www.waeconline.org.ng to complete your online registration.
- Candidates must capture their biometric data using the UareU DigitalPersona fingerprint device.
Important Information
- Walk-in Candidates: Late registration will be allowed at ₦45,000, payable not less than 24 hours before the scheduled paper.
- Candidates with Special Needs: Must register online and clearly indicate their impairments (Visual, Low vision, Spastic, Speech, Hearing, etc.).
- Passport Photograph: Must be JPEG, 275 x 314 pixels, 72 dpi, on a contrasting background. Poor quality images will invalidate entries.
- Exam Format:
- Objective papers – fully CBT
- Essay & practicals – hybrid (questions on screen, answers on paper).
- General Rules:
- No uniforms, arms, or electronic gadgets allowed in exam halls.
- Candidates must bring their original Admission Notice.
- Exam malpractice will lead to cancellation of results and possible prosecution.
- Registration fee is non-refundable.
- Candidates are advised to prepare using the official WAEC CBT Software/App.
- A mock CBT exam will be organized, with details sent via SMS, email, and social media.
