Instructions for Listed Candidates:

Candidates who have been listed in the Supplementary Admission List and Direct Entry Admission List are required to adhere to the following instructions:

  1. Upload O/Level Results on JAMB Portal: It is mandatory for all candidates to urgently upload their O/Level results into the JAMB Portal using a JAMB-approved CBT Center, if they haven’t done so already. Candidates should ensure that the upload is successful and confirmed in the CAPS (Central Admission Processing System). Please note that the admission process cannot proceed until the proper upload of O/Level results is completed.
  2. Change of Course (For Provisional Recommendations): Candidates who were provisionally recommended for admission in courses other than the ones they initially applied for (Advert/Shopping or Supplementary) must immediately access the JAMB CAPS in an accredited CBT Center. They should perform a change of course from their original courses of application to the courses recommended. Candidates should print and submit their admission status from CAPS to the Admissions Office for the necessary recommendations in CAPS, which is the only authentic way of gaining admission.

Additional Steps to be Taken:

Once candidates have completed the above instructions, they should proceed with the following steps:

  1. Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS: Visit the JAMB Portal and click on “Accept Admission” to accept the offered admission. Failure to accept admission on JAMB CAPS will result in the non-issuance of the JAMB Admission Letter and the candidate will be considered as not admitted.
  2. Payment of Acceptance Fee: Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) and log in using your JAMB Registration number. Generate and download a Payment Invoice containing a Remita number. Make the necessary payment at any Commercial Bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank. The acceptance fee is Thirty Thousand Naira Only (N30,000.00). Ensure that the Invoice number is correctly entered at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice number.
  3. Print the Admission Slip and Complete the Acceptance Form: Log in again on the University of Nigeria website or portal using your JAMB Registration Number, Confirmation Number, and Invoice Number. Print the Admission slip and complete the Acceptance Form online.
  4. Complete Fee Payments and Registration: Follow the instructions provided on the University of Nigeria website for further fee payments and registration processes.

Important Notes:

  • This admission offer is provisional.
  • If at any point, including the final year, it is discovered that a candidate does not meet the minimum university, faculty, or departmental entry requirements for the course, as prescribed by the Senate of the University and published in the JAMB Brochure, the admission offer will be withdrawn.

Signed,
Dr. (Mrs.) C.N. Nnebedum
Registrar
