About the Award:

Graduate Assistantships at the University of Tampa involve working 20 hours per week in an academic or administrative office on campus. GA positions require students to be on campus during standard working hours, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in a full course load of at least 8 but no more than 14 credit hours per semester.

Who Can Apply?

  • Graduate Assistantships are available to incoming, qualified, full-time graduate students beginning their studies in the fall or spring semesters. These assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis, contingent upon the student’s academic record, and are offered by invitation only. Tuition support for GAs is available for the fall and spring semesters only.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

  • A full-time Graduate Assistant is eligible to receive:
    • A tuition waiver for 8-12 graduate-level credits during the upcoming semester.
    • A total of 36 credit hours of tuition support if the assistantship is renewed.
    • A stipend of $1,500 per semester, administered through the Financial Aid Office.
