UNIUYO Announces Amnesty Programme for Students Unable to Graduate; The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) wishes to inform the general public, particularly persons who were admitted into the University from the 1995 academic session but could not complete their studies due to outstanding courses, that the Senate of the University at its 133rd meeting held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, approved an Amnesty Programme.

This programme is designed for students who could not graduate but have failed courses not exceeding 24 credit hours.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must have been admitted into UNIUYO from 1995 onward but were unable to graduate.
  2. They must be willing and desirous to complete their studies and obtain their degree certificate.
  3. The programme does not cover students expelled from the University.
  4. It applies only to First Degree Programmes.
  5. A maximum of 24 credit hours (across first and second semesters) can be registered.
  6. The cost of the programme is ₦25,000 per course.

Programme Implementation

  • Duration: 8 weeks during the long vacation before the 2025/2026 academic year.
    • Publicity: Sept. 1 – Sept. 7, 2025 (1 week)
    • Teaching/Revision: Sept. 8 – Oct. 4, 2025 (4 weeks)
    • Examinations: Oct. 6 – Oct. 18, 2025 (2 weeks)
    • Results Computation & Graduation: Oct. 20 – Oct. 24, 2025 (1 week)
  • Grading: Results will be combined with previously earned grades before withdrawal.

Mode of Payment

All interested students are required to pay the applicable charges via www.uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals and present their receipts to the Bursary Department for confirmation
