Eligibility

  1. UTME Candidates: Must have chosen UNIMED as their first choice and scored 150 and above in the 2024 UTME.
  2. Change of Institution Candidates: Candidates willing to change to UNIMED as their first choice can also apply.
  3. O’ Level Requirements: Minimum of five credits in WAEC, NECO, or GCE O’ Level, including English, Mathematics, and three relevant subjects, obtained in no more than two sittings. For Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, and Doctor of Physiotherapy, the credits must include Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at one sitting.
  4. Direct Entry Candidates: Must have a minimum of ten points in relevant ‘A’ level certificates, B.Sc. (Hons) Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower, or National Diploma in relevant Basic Medical or Basic Science subjects with a minimum of Lower Credit. Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry require a minimum of thirteen points in ‘A’ level certificates or a Second Class Upper B.Sc. (Hons) Degree. Nursing Science candidates with a first degree or equivalent in health-related and basic science courses with at least a Second Class Lower Honours or Lower Credit are also eligible.
  5. UTME Subject Combination: All courses require English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Candidates for Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Computer Science need English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Application Procedure

  1. Visit the UNIMED website: unimed.edu.ng
  2. Click on “Admission” and then “Post-UTME” to access the portal.
  3. Make payment using Naira DEBIT Cards.
  4. Print the Payment Receipt.
  5. Log in with your UTME/DE Registration Number and Payment Transaction ID to complete registration.

Important Dates

  • Post-UTME Screening: September 3-5, 2024
  • Screening Venue: Details will be communicated via the candidate’s portal.

Required Items for Screening

  1. JAMB 2024 UTME Notification of Results Slip/Registration Slip for Direct-Entry Candidates.
  2. Printed copy of the completed 2024 Post UTME Screening slip.
