UNIMAID Extends Post-UTME Registration Deadline for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced the extension of its 2025/2026 Post-Admission Screening Exercise. The exercise, which was initially scheduled to close on Thursday, September 11, 2025, will now end on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
This extension is to allow candidates who are yet to activate their Post-UTME screening or complete the process to do so. The University has made it clear that there will be no further extension after this new deadline.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 only through the REMITA platform.
- Only UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who chose the University of Maiduguri as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB are eligible.
- UTME candidates must score a minimum of 150, except for courses with higher cut-off marks as indicated on the University website.
- Candidates must meet the required UTME subject combinations for their chosen courses as specified in the 2025 JAMB Brochure.
- Candidates who do not meet the requirements may change to another course whose criteria they satisfy.
- All candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Direct Entry candidates must have at least a Lower Credit at ND/HND level or Merit at NCE level.
- Only O’Level result print-outs downloaded directly from official exam body websites (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of the original certificates will be accepted during verification.
- Candidates must also ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded on their JAMB CAPS profile.
Registration Procedure
Candidates are to follow the steps below to complete their registration:
a. Visit the UNIMAID website: www.unimaid.edu.ng and click on Post-UTME Screening 2025.
b. Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as username and umstad@2025 as password.
c. Upload a passport photograph (less than 200KB) and set a new password.
d. Enter your phone number and email address, then click “Generate” to make the payment of ₦2,000.
e. Provide your bio-data, O’Level/ A’Level results, and upload all required documents.
f. Submit your application.
