UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening 2025/2026; The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) invites all candidates who selected the institution as their first choice in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) to participate in the Post-UTME/DE screening exercise.
To begin, candidates should visit the official UNILORIN website: www.unilorin.edu.ng for comprehensive information on the screening procedure.
Important Notice to All Applicants
Before proceeding with registration, all candidates must carefully read the instructions below. The University will not be responsible for any incorrect information submitted by candidates.
- Wrong entries will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Admission will be based on the following weighted scoring system:
- UTME/DE Score: 50%
- Post-UTME Screening Score: 30%
- Five relevant O’Level grades: 20%

A. Registration Instructions
- Registration Period:
Begins 00:01 a.m. on Monday, 28th July 2025
Closes 12:00 midnight on Sunday, 10th August 2025 - O’Level/A’Level Results Upload:
All candidates must upload their results to the JAMB CAPS portal. Those awaiting results should clearly indicate with ‘AR’. - Change of Course/Programme:
This should only be done on JAMB CAPS. Do not attempt to change courses on the UNILORIN portal. The university will automatically update changes from JAMB CAPS until the registration deadline. - Email and Mobile Number:
Use personal and valid email addresses and mobile numbers. Do not use third-party contact details. - Registration Fee: ₦2,000.00 only.
- Information Review:
Candidates should double-check all information before final submission. Registrations can be reviewed and corrected until the portal closes. - Screening Printout:
After registration, ensure the printout accurately displays your:- UTME subjects and scores
- Best five related O’Level subjects
- For MB;BS, Pharmacy, Optometry & Vision Science, and Computer Engineering:
Only ONE sitting of O’Level results will be accepted. Submit one sitting result only.
Important: At the close of registration, ensure that the O’Level result uploaded on the UNILORIN portal matches what was uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
B. Step-by-Step Registration Procedure
- Visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/
Or go to https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click on “Undergraduate Portal.” - On the left-hand menu, click Pre-admission Screening Registration.
- Fill in the required fields such as JAMB Registration Number, Surname, etc.
- Click Get Details to load your UTME/DE data.
- Complete all required information, including O’Level and/or A’Level grades. If awaiting results, select AR.
- Click Make Payment to proceed to Remita:
- Select ATM card type (Visa/MasterCard)
- Input card number, expiry date, CVV (3 digits at the back), and PIN
- Click Pay
Note:
Do not refresh your browser during payment. If in doubt, wait for a debit alert before retrying.
For payment issues, re-enter your JAMB Reg. Number on the Pre-Admission page and click the provided resolution link.
- After successful payment:
- Click Admission Login on the Undergraduate Portal
- Enter JAMB Reg. Number and Surname, then click Login
- Click Next Step, complete all required details
- Click Submit after confirming all entries are correct
Note for UTME to DE Upgrades:
If you have upgraded from UTME to DE, ensure this update is first done on JAMB CAPS and the same information reflected on the UNILORIN portal before starting registration.
C. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Follow the same registration procedure as UTME candidates (steps B.i – B.xi).
- Additionally, DE candidates must:
- Select their highest qualification from the dropdown menu.
- Click Save and confirm via the dialogue box.
Warning:
Any error in the results entered will be regarded as deliberate falsification and will lead to automatic disqualification at any stage it is discovered.
