UNIJOS Releases 2023/2024 Pre-degree Admission FormENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying for this program must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 ‘O’ LEVEL credits in WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE results or their equivalent in the following Science Subjects: Mathematics or Further Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, and either Biology or Agric Science or Geography or Technical Drawing or Fine Art to qualify for admission.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms can be obtained online through the University’s official website: portal.unijos.edu.ng, and this will be available from 21st August to 31st October 2023.
The Pre-Degree Science Course is designed exclusively for Science students who intend to pursue studies in fields such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Science Education, Medical Lab Science (MLS), Biochemistry, Science Lab Technology (SLT), Computer Science, Engineering, Agriculture, or any other single honors Degree Course in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and other Science-related disciplines.
Upon successful completion of the Unijos Remedial Sciences program, students will be granted automatic placement into the University of Jos Degree programs under the following conditions:
- Attaining a minimum of 40% in each subject with a proven attendance record of 75% during teaching and Laboratory periods.
- Selecting the University of Jos as their first choice in JAMB/UTME and achieving the Unijos cut-off mark (which may be subject to review each academic year).
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
For the 2023/2024 academic year, new charges have been introduced as follows:
- ACCEPTANCE FEE: N30,000 (THIRTY THOUSAND NAIRA ONLY)
- SCHOOL FEE: N70,000 (SEVENTY THOUSAND NAIRA ONLY)
This brings the TOTAL CHARGES PAYABLE to N100,000 (ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA ONLY).
