UNICAL SUG Taskforce Warns Against Illegal Space Allocation; The Students’ Union Government (SUG) Taskforce of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has issued a stern warning to individuals involved in the illegal allocation of spaces designated for official use within the university.
In a public notice dated October 3, 2025, the Taskforce declared that such unauthorized activities would not be tolerated and would attract strict disciplinary actions. It also stated that any spaces obtained illegally will be revoked and reclaimed immediately by the Taskforce.
UNICAL SUG Warns Students
Speaking on the issue, the Chairman of the Taskforce, High Chief Winston Churchill, stressed the importance of maintaining integrity, transparency, and fairness in all campus operations. He urged members of the university community to follow due process and avoid actions that could disrupt harmony within the institution.
Churchill also called on students and other stakeholders to cooperate with the SUG in building a better, safer, and more transparent university environment.
